Just after the latest patch update, one of the graphics features which are called Ray Tracing of shadows is now missing from the game’s graphics settings menu. Gamers thought that it was withdrawn from the developer but it comes out as a piece of false news. The feature is still there but it is not showing after installing the latest game patch update files.

Graphics Mod
Have you applied any graphics mod patch files like GTA V for the RDR2 game? If you have done, then uninstall all of those or delete them and then reinstall your game. Those games that were using mods faced this same issue and after deleting the mods, their problem was totally gone.
Delete .ini file
Copy and paste this location to your windows explorer bar and then hit enter
“C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor”
Here you can find a file, “engine.ini”. Now, delete this particular file and then perform a file recheck for your game. After that, your game client will download this file’s new version and then play the game. Your Shadow Ray Tracing option will now be available.

Edit Engine.ini
If deleting the Engine.ini file is not working then follow the below steps.
- Go to the Engine.ini file location
- Right-click on it and choose “open in notepad”
- After the file opens in notepad, copy the below lines and paste them on the notepad document
- [SystemSettings] r.RayTracing.Reflections.ScreenPercentage=100 r.RayTracing.Reflections.SamplesPerPixel=1 r.RayTracing.Reflections.MaxRoughness=0.7 r.RayTracing.AmbientOcclusion.Intensity=1
Now after pasting them, save the file and then play the game and find the Shadow Ray Tracing graphics feature.
