Horses help you travel faster in V Rising apart from the Fast Travel stat. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you use fast travel locations you will be directly teleported to the destination and you will miss out all the resources on the way. But if you try taking a horse and travel across the map. It might take a little while but yes you will come across a plethora of loot along the way.
How to get a Horse in V Rising
Get to Dunley Farmlands and this location is extreme north of Farbane Woods. There are several stables and farms where horses will spawn. You can find one of the horses in the South East of Dunley Farmlands. When you get to the location there should be a point of interest called the Farm.
Once you locate the horse, go near it and press the Interact key to mount the horse. Once you mount the horse, this steed will be yours to keep. But if you unmount and lose the horse, then you will have to return back to Dunley Farmlands to get another one.
How to check Horse stats in V Rising
You can press the Inventory button to check the Horse Stats in V Rising. There are three stats, Max Speed, Max Acceleration and Rotation Speed. Remember that these stats are different for different horses, and you will not be able to change or alter any of those stats. So make sure you take the horse with the maximum speed to travel faster in V Rising. Losing your noble steed in the game is pretty straightforward, so make sure you dismount at a safe location.
How to keep Horse alive in V Rising
You can keep your horse alive by giving it Waterskins. You can craft Water skins in the inventory with the use of leather and plant fibers. Once you craft the water skin you can go near a pond to fill it up with the water. Give the full waterskin to your horse and that will keep it healthy. Remember that each waterskin in the game lasts for a total of 7.5 hours so make sure you replenish it to keep your Horse healthy in V Rising.
